External Wall System Certificates (EWS1)
We provide all the services our clients require in order to obtain an EWS1 certification for their buildings, as may be required by valuers, mortgagees, banks or insurers. Our experience includes working on all types of buildings, as well as those old and new, and those still under construction or in the early design stages.
We assist our clients at all stages of the EWS1 certification process. This can include providing design input for projects yet to be built, reviewing existing as-built building information, preparing detailed schedules of intrusive works where required and assisting in the procurement of the opening up works.
Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls
We provide fire risk appraisals of external walls (FRAEW) in accordance with the latest Code of Practice (PAS 9980:2022 - ‘Fire risk appraisal of external wall construction and cladding of existing blocks of flats’).
Such assessments are a mandatory requirement under the latest EWS1 forms (3rd Edition). In addition, a FRAEW assessment may be required by a building’s Fire Risk Assessment in order to ensure the responsible person has fulfilled their duties under the recently enacted Fire Safety Act 2021.
